The Stearns History Museum opens its third annual escape room, this year themed
after the George Orwell classic, 1984. Big Brother is watching. The past has been erased and the future is
looking bleak. It is up to you to find enough historic relics to make yourself remember. Otherwise, you will
be trapped, and under surveillance, forever.
A built environment experience at the museum, the Escape Room changes themes annually. Designed for
groups of 6 or less, each time slot allows a 45-minute window to make your escape. Held the first three
weeks of December, a reservation is required and can be made online at
https://stearnshistorymuseum.wildapricot.org/. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members.
The Escape Room opens this Thursday December 5 and runs through Saturday December 21. It is a great
holiday activity for families, friends, and colleagues. Make a night (or day) of it, have some fun, and support
local history while you celebrate the season! Don’t miss your chance to save history and defeat Big Brother.
The world needs you!
