In this tight labor market, we know employers need good and dependable employees. A great source of potential workers are authorized non-citizens and people with refugee status. They are eligible to work immediately and can be dependable and hardworking employees.
The Chamber is partnering with the Immigrant and Employee Rights Office (IER) of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to offer this community presentation.
Join us at the Chamber office from 8:30 - 10 a.m. on September 12 for a presentation with helpful tips for hiring and on-boarding refugees and immigrants.
This event will provide support for employers and human resource employees in navigating - the sometimes confusing arena of - work authorization documents for non-citizens. Attendees will receive the chance to ask questions and receive guidance in avoiding unintentional workforce discrimination situations. Employers, human resource and workforce center employees, and others who help non-citizens find employment will especially benefit from this presentation.
