When work, or life in general, throw us into rough water, our natural reaction is to swim as hard and fast as we can for the safety and comfort of the shore.  However, it is very often the case that the whitewater offers us the greatest opportunity for growth and learning.  What would happen if we didn’t’ fight the whitewater?  How could our potential and joy be multiplied if we learned to effectively ride the rough currents?  Joan shares the strategies she uses as an executive, volunteer leader, wife, and mother to navigate the challenges that inevitably come to us all – especially those in a leadership position.
