Chamber Business Book Club 3/26/08

The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Business Book Club gives an opportunity to members to engage in in-depth personal discussion, networking, and professional development through a series of highly recommended books by CIO Magazine.  Joining others in a reading group not only providesimpetus for keeping up with the latest business books but, more importantly, being part of a reading group can stimulate your own thinking.  You must purchase your own book.  Some of the books may also be available as MP3 downloads or on CD. 

The book for this series, Resonant Leadership: Renewing Yourself and Connecting with others Through Mindfulness, Hope and Compassion, is authored by Richard Boyatzis and Annie McKee.  Today's leaders face unprecedented challenges that result in cycles of self sacrifice, with little or no recovery time built in.  Resonant Leadership provides a framework to help leaders create and sustain resonant relationships, teams, and organizations. Resonant Leadership teaches the reader how to counter the stress of leadership by renewing ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.  Chapters 7-9 will be discussed during this session.  Lunchis included.
