DESCRIPTION:The Government Affairs Division of the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce is comprised of business people and volunteers who have a passion for issues and activities at all levels of government.  Locally\, statewide\, and nationally\, they serve as advocates for all Chamber members.  Join us at our regular meetings on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. Topics are different each month.  Any Chamber member with interest in government is welcome to attend.  \n\n\n\nMEETING DETAILS \n\nSpeaker: Adam Gracia\, Senior Project Manager\, NextEra Energy\n\nTopic: NextEra Energy - Benton Solar Project\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSince 2000\, subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources have supported Minnesota's economic growth with investments totaling approximately $550 million across the state. NextEra Energy's Benton Solar Project\, located in Benton County\, will generate up to 100 megawatts of clean\, renewable solar energy and include an additional 100 megawatts of battery energy storage. Spanning approximately 600 acres\, the project is currently undergoing local and state approval processes\, with operations expected to begin by the end of 2026.\n\n\n\n\n\nNo fee to attend\, but registration is required as seating is limited!
