DESCRIPTION:The Civil Mediation Training (also offered for credit: CMST 428 Theory and Practice of Mediation) is a comprehensive experiential training course that teaches participants to skillfully facilitate conversations between people in conflict in order to assist them in reaching creative\, mutually-satisfactory outcomes. \n\n \n\nThis course is designed for professionals who want to learn to mediate\, and meets all requirements of both the Minnesota Supreme Court's Rule 114 Training Guidelines and the Community Dispute Resolution Program Training Requirements for community mediators in Minnesota. \n\n \n\nUpon completion of this certified course\, participants will have the skills to mediate in a wide variety of situations and be eligible for inclusion on the Minnesota Rule 114 Qualified Neutral Civil Roster as well as be eligible to volunteer with community mediation centers throughout Minnesota.
